Hi, and thanks for stopping by.
Sahasra Tech is a small, independent blog about AI, phones, apps and everyday gadgets – written for regular people in India who want things explained clearly, without jargon or hype.
Why This Site Exists
It started with a simple pattern. Friends and family kept sending me the same questions on WhatsApp. “Why is my phone so slow?” “Is this AI tool safe to use?” “Which earbuds should I buy under ₹2,000?” “Someone added me to a weird group, what do I do?”
Most answers online were either too technical, written for a US audience, or just a list of affiliate links. So I started writing the answers down properly – the way I’d explain them to someone sitting across from me with a cup of chai.
What You’ll Find Here
- Practical how-to guides – step-by-step help for Android phones, WhatsApp, Google apps and everyday tech problems.
- AI, explained simply – what tools like ChatGPT and Gemini are good at, where they go wrong, and how to use them responsibly for study and work.
- Honest gadget advice – budget-focused, India-focused, and upfront about tradeoffs.
- Useful prompts and workflows – with context on when they actually help.
How I Write
A few principles I try to stick to:
- Test or verify before writing. If I describe a setting or a step, I’ve checked it myself or confirmed it from an official source. Menus change, so if something has moved, please tell me and I’ll update it.
- No fake numbers. If I mention a figure, it’s either from a source I link to or clearly marked as a rough example.
- Admit tradeoffs. Most tech decisions are “it depends”. I’d rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
- Keep it India-relevant. Rupee prices, Indian apps and services, and the phones people here actually use.
- Update old posts. Tech changes fast. I revisit guides when things change.
A Note on Ads and Links
Sahasra Tech may show ads to help cover hosting and running costs. Ads never decide what I recommend. If a post ever includes affiliate links or sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
